First visit to Gav's Dad's place near Cagliari. A lovely villla situated amongst a small enclave on the south coast of the island. I missed my flight over to Sardinia so I stayed with Annie the night and flew out the following morning - I realised I would never live this down... Anyway, Gav kindly came to pick me up from Alghero airport and we made the 2 hour journey south stopping off at a truck stop for a beer and some snacks. We spent most of the days relaxing in the garden and heading down to the private beach; the snorkelling was great there. We made a trip to the local restaurant, The Mirage, which was excellent. I had the Sea Bass but managed to get a bone stuck in the back of my throat which Tony had to extract with some tweezers when we were back at the villa. We also took out Gav's dad's boat and had to deal with the hilarious harbour guard? We drank lots of Ichnusa, the local beer and La Cala, the local wine, both of which were lovely.

First family holiday abroad. Stayed in nice liitle villa with a small pool just off 'the strip'. We spent lots of time in the pool playing volleyball and I cooked a few meals in the villa - pasta and stuff. We spent the whole holiday one hour ahead of time as the captain had incorrectly informed us that Protugal were one hour ahead when in fact they were on UK time. We thought we were going to miss the flight back as we missed the turning for the airport and took us some time to get back on track. When we arrived though, we were quite early!
