Laura's birthday. Got the train back from London and then took a taxi back to Lansdown Road. After a quick change I got back in the waiting taxi and headed for the Miller's Arms to meet with many people from Pfizer. Dan Curley was visiting for the weekend; it was good to catch up with him. Anyway, the group got split up and half with half of us going to the Brewery Tavern and the other half, me included, heading to Casey's. We then went onto the Works for vodka red bulls etc...

Hoppo's birthday. Took the train to London and met Mark in Zizzi on the Strand. Dave fell over spectacularly as we were getting up to leave the restaurant and pretty much lost all dignity. A few of us went on to the the Cole Hole for more beers. I met a couple more of Hoppo's friends: Monty and a guy who plays in a band in Witney - The loudest band in Witney, apparently.

Met at Anna's for a few drinks. I had a beer and moved onto neat vodka washed down with grapefruit squash. Went on to the Blind Dog.

As is customary every now and again, we met at Gus's place for a few hands of Poker. I lost about £20, I think...

Met in The Loft at 7:15pm for a few cocktails and went onto Apeksha for curry. Not sure what we ended up doing after that...?

Lo and behold, I ended up in Casey's of Canterbury yet again - That must be the fifth time in six years - perhaps more. Anyway, I met up with Dazza, James, Laura, Anil and a few other folk and we drank lots of Guinness. Dazza, his mate, Gerry, and I went to Cafe Rouge for dinner, then I went off to Meet Gav for a few more beers starting at the Cherry Tree and ending up in Girls and Boys. I called Anna and Vicki but they were too tired having been out in London for the day.

Went for a check up at the dentist and had a scale and polish. Have to report back in 6 months time.

Well this was my third jaunt to the snow with these guys. Unfortunately, minus Sam, Leon and Yukari this time - we missed them a bit. We were out in Meribel for a week staying in the very nice Chalet Astemy located in Morel. Dave and Mich were our chalet hosts for the week - they cooked all of our breakfasts and evening meals and laid on cakes in the afternoon although we didn't once make it back for these. Harry was our rep for the week - he looked a little bit like Harry Potter because he wore glasses. We went out every evening pretty much. the first night we met the rest of the guys in our chalet at Les Enfants Terribles, a great little candle-lit place just up the road from our chalet. The other guests were all much older and all mutual friends; most of them were slightly barking as well, but good fun and up for a few beers. the next night was pub crawl night organised by the Ski-World reps ending up in Dick's Tea Bar (Rock Night!). We went out to Le Pub quite a bit as they had live bands on most nights. thursday afternoon we hit Le Rond Point apres ski bar half way down the slopes in Meribel Centre - Mullit played a fantastic afternoon set there! I lost my favorite little Sony Cybershot camera on the piste and I also left my Burton gloves behind... Damn it!
