Hey, thanks! I appreciate that as I've been slaving over the thing for more than a month now. Should all be finished by the end of the weekend! Huzzah!
You'll have to let me know how you get on with yours too!-
- Thursday, 31. May, 2007 @ 23:14:34
I havent even ordered the stuff yet
Its been a right pain though because everywhere seems to sell the kits, and all i want is the actual decking!
Are those little lights i can spot? I'll be impressed if they are!

I was exactly the same! I looked around for ages, but didn't want a kit... Then one day I went into a builders merchants just near me and they had exactly what I wanted and they delivered it all to the house at 9am the next day free of charge!
Yeah, they are little lights! Haven't finished the wiring into the house yet though, so I can't switch them on

OOh yes, it's looks almost done!

Although it's a little 'blue' is that because it's late in the evening?-
- Thursday, 31. May, 2007 @ 23:38:14
lol Oh yeah, it is a bit blue, huh? They were taken after nine so it was a bit //dusky//. haha!

I thought I was right!
But you do deserve a pat on the back for the hard work. I have seen it done and boy, it's looks hard! I'm no DIY person, naturally!

Very good! Gold star for you

Thanks! It's been a killer, but I'm going to have a little party to celebrate once it's finished!-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 00:52:12
Hooray!
Thank you.
I bet it's been a killer like you say. God, your back must ache!
Try not to ruin your new decking once you finished it!
-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 00:57:51
Good point! I don't want it collapsing!

It does look brilliant! I tried to persuade my mother and sister to let me do that in out back garden but they wanted to stick with the stone decking we have.. It looks terrible and has weeds growing out of it, but I can't be trusted to do it, even though I have my own drills and jigsaw and screwdrivers and palm sanders and circular saws and everything else you could imagine! My favourite is my 175 piece electric screw driver and drill set! It's my baby! (Yes, I'm very sad).
Anyway! Enjoy the party on your new deck! Will you be staining it or leaving it light? (I'm strange so I have to ask...)-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 00:48:53
I'm speechless that you have all of those tools, I really am! I'm a bit sad with things like that too - your drill set sounds cool
I could do with something like that!
I won't stain it a different colour but I might go over it with something once I see how it looks when it's finished...-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 00:55:00
My drill set is awesome! It has masonary, metal and wood drill bits along with some bits for something I haven't worked out yet... And it has a spirit level with it! it has green liquid in it which just looks funky!

And I have many more tools! I have *counts* 13 different tools, all for different jobs! Me very proud of them!
They are placed very carefully in the garage and are about the only things that have a place for themselves in there
And if you even think about borrowing my drill set, I will not be responsible for my actions... Last person to even touch the set ended up breaking a finger... *evil cackle*
You should use something on it, even if it's just to protect the wood. It's very important. You don't particularly want all your hard work going to waste because the wood expands in the rain, do you? I'm sure you've already thought of that... I still wanted to say it

- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 01:01:27
Don't worry, I won't come anywhere near that drill set of yours... If I get one though, I'll blog a picture of it so you can have a look

Thanks, I'll definitely put something on it but probably colourless so you can still see all the wood detail.-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 01:06:46
Yes please! I suggest looking at HomeBase. That's where I got mine from
It cost £50! Money well spent, I'd say! muahahahah! I now want to go out and drill something! grr... I need wood! I ruined all the wood we had with my jigsaw.... It was fun!

Sounds like you really need a project! Do you need a new shed? Maybe your mum would let you have a go at that?

I do need a project! I put up shelves in my room but my dog kept bothering me so they went a little wonky

I've got 2 more exams to get through next week, after which it's been agreed that I can do whatever I want to my room! So I'm starting with a little SmoothOver to neaten up the patches on my walls from where I pulled out the horrible cupboard there had been built into the wall (oh yeah! plastering!

I have an attachment for my drill/screwdriver to mix plaster too
). Then I get to use my palm sander to sand off the paint from my door and then paint the entire room over. Then I get to put up entire cupboards in my room and have floor bedding
it'll be fun! I've found ways to use all my tools! muahah!-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 01:23:21
Sounds like you're going to be busy this summer...! Best keep the dog out of the way though

-
- Friday, 01. Jun, 2007 @ 01:25:16
The dog will be locked in the back room since he won't be allowed in the house for 3 months after the operation...
You know you have no life when you get excited about putting up shelves... and not just excited like 'oh yeah, I'm doing that, cool'. Excited as in jumping in your seat! jeez... I need a life... Got one to spare?-
