Two rather murky pics: One of Gav after several Jager bombs and one of Tim Wheeler...

Ash were brilliant at Koko on Friday night! I really love the venue as well - I believe it used to be the Electric Ballroom.
Anyway, I jumped on the train and met Gav at Camden Tube Station at 6:30 and we went for a bite to eat at the Bento Cafe just over the road - I had a pretty good Katsu Don with rice washed down with one of the finest beers known to man - Kirin Ichiban! We breezed into Koko at about 7:30 and hit the beers (although Gav had already had 5 for his lunch - nice!) Ash played a first set of stuff mostly from their new album kicking off with their new single. They played a lot of older songs in their second set at which point we became heavily involved in moshing and pogoing at the front... Afterwards, we stayed on for Club NME and met up with Darren, Graham and Christine - Things become a bit blurry when we decided to drink numerous jager bombs - jagermeister with red bull - in quick succession...

Okay, I'm not really into cycling or anything, but I feel slightly annoyed with myself that the entire Tour de France cavalcade and all of the cyclists passed-by only 100 metres from my front door - and onto the first stage finish line in Canterbury yesterday - and I missed the whole thing! I was busy mucking around in the garden and kinda forgot what the time was until I saw numerous helicopters passing overheard following the cyclists... Shucks!
