Having conducted my own experiment recently into the relative merits of loose tea vs tea bags, I can categorically confirm that the loose, dried leaves make a superior cup of tea...
Ringtons, who have branches like this one in Canterbury, stock an excellent range of loose tea. They also have outlets in Brighton, Exeter, Cambridge and Kingston.

Oh no !!!
Tea is minging, in any shape or form..Loose or bag it is really aweful - It stinks on peoples breath when they have been drinking it and I am so against tea that I just felt I had to leave a comment !!
Saying that when I was in the Brownies aged 7, we went on a tea tasting task at the cadburys tea factory and I think that was when my anti tea thingy started..I would sooner eat a spider alive than drink tea anyday of the week.
But each to the own I suppose x

I actually agree, to a certain extent! I stick to the milder teas like green, peppermint and early grey and brew them for a very short time to give a subtle flavour...
