The Wire - Season Two
@ Sunday, 19. Apr, 2009 – 12:00:00
I'm pretty sure that watching an entire season of a series in one day constitutes an unhealthy addiction. Be that as it may, I spent 12 hours devouring the second helping of this fabulous police drama yesterday and I could wax lyrical about it all night long! The casting and scripting make the characters entirely believable which are all bound into thoroughly absorbing story-lines that really make you work.
I've just started downloading season three...

The estate agents appear to have found a tennant for the house in Canterbury.
I managed to book a neat connection to pick up my flight to/from Australia.
My on-line Australian visa application was approved within minutes this morning.
I have made contact with an old friend who is living in Sydney.
Buildings control are happy with the folks' extension to date.
A repeat of The Apprentice is on this evening so I can catch up from last night.

The Wire - Season One
@ Tuesday, 07. Apr, 2009 – 10:16:30

I realise that I'm a good seven years behind here, but I started watching season one of The Wire at the weekend. I'm pretty much hooked after watching the first six episodes! I don't think I'll ever manage to understand everything they say but that's all part of the appeal for me. You have to do a little bit of work to figure out what's going on and to keep up with things.
