A day trip with Mum and Dad to Potsdam... on the hottest day of the year!

A bike tour with the parents taking in Volkspark Friedrichshain, Landsburger Allee, Alexanderplatz, Fernsehturm, Berliner Dom, Museum Insel, Unter Den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, Bellevue Schloss, Hauptbahnhof, Spree, Rosenthaler Platz and a few other things along the way!

Mum, Dad and I went for German beer and German food in Lindenbräu at Potsdamer Platz, except Mum had chicken and chips in a basket Dad and I opted for a Maß of beer each...

They arrived on Wednesday morning and have been amusing themselves trailing around the tourist sites of Berlin for the past few days. I plan to hire some bikes tomorrow and go for a little tour in the East of the city.

I'm still undecided whether to put Agger or Skrtel in defence as they're both £3.7m, but apart from that I'm pretty happy... for now... (click for a bigger version).

Just picking my team now... I usually end up spending far too long deliberating over how to spend my £50 million, and I notice now that you can tinker with the formation as well! Don't hold your breath, but I will post the chosen eleven here later this evening...

Turns out that the 13th International Berlin Beer Festival is taking place on Karl Marx Allee this weekend! Think I'll probably sneak out of work a bit early with a few work chums on Friday to check it out
